how to commission a portrait

Select your best photo – must be large and CLEAR, I am unable to work from small blurry photos. If you have a few photos to choose from that’s ok I can advise which would suit best. Professional photos will require written permission from the photographer along with their contact number. Please contact me to discuss your needs – I am happy to receive photos via email or my facebook art page – Holley Ryan Artist.

DEPOSIT – A non-refundable deposit of $50 is required to book, the final amount to be paid upon completion, along with postage costs if applicable.

TURNAROUND TIME – This will depend on workload when paying your deposit, if your planning your portrait as a gift please order well in advance to avoid disappointment.

ARTWORK SENT – Portraits are sent via Australia Post flat packed, with a certificate of authenticity. I would advise a professional framer for your needs – although stretched canvas paintings can be hung with or without a frame.

SHARING THE ARTWORK – When you receive your masterpiece it will be uploaded to my social media pages, if you wish to keep your portrait private please advise me when making the booking.

Graphite Wash Portrait

One size only – A5 (15x21cm). This is the size of the paper – the portrait is drawn within the space. Portraits are drawn with graphite wash pencils and water is washed over to blend. Drawn on hotpress, 300gsm. One head only at this small size – example below of Phoebe. Price $100 with $20 deposit to book. To secure a booking a deposit must be made, deposits are non-refundable.

10x12inch – (25.4×30.5cm) one head only – Price $360

30x40cm – one head – Price $480, add 40% for two heads

40x50cm – one head – Price $600, add 40% for each extra head – up to three heads
